Champagne Cuddles has gone extremely close to winning at Group 2 level in her two most-recent starts and subsequently remains the sole occupant of the top line of Tea Rose Stakes betting at Ladbrokes.com.au, at a $3.50 quote.

Will Champagne Cuddles justify favouritism and win the 2017 Tea Rose Stakes, or will one of her rivals post an upset?

Tulip ($3.60)

Tulip has been a strong and consistent performer amongst quality fields throughout her entire racing career so far and should prove extremely difficult to beat in the Tea Rose Stakes. Winner of the Group 3 Magic Night Stakes (1200m), as well as running fourth in the Group 1 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) and third in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) in autumn, the Pierro filly resumed this time for an agonizingly-close second amongst classy company at The Valley and appears as though she will only relish a step up in distance. Tulip is drawn ideally in barrier 4 and she has the notable advantage of Hugh Bowman in the saddle this weekend.

Champagne Cuddles ($3.50)

Champagne Cuddles has not been far away in her two most-recent starts at 1200m and a step up to 1400m into the Tea Rose Stakes field could be exactly what she is looking for. A dominant winner of her first two career starts, the Not A Single Doubt filly mustered a big turn of foot to fly home and finish third in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) on August 19th, before going one better in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) a fortnight ago. The filly will have to show some early speed from a wide draw, but she has class over a number of her rivals here and should be right in the finish of the Tea Rose Stakes.

Pandemonium ($9.50)

Classy filly Pandemonium is stepping up in class into the Tea Rose Stakes field, but she has found outstanding form this time in and could receive the run of the race from barrier 3, with in-form hoop Josh Parr in the saddle. Resuming for a credible fourth in an 1100m sprint at Wyong on July 25th, the Sebring filly has since posted consecutive wins in mid-week races over 1400m and 1600m at Kembla Grange and Warwick Farm respectively.
