Fourteen of the Spring Carnival’s most exciting three-year-old fillies have been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s 2015 Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.
Perignon ($5) has continued to receive good support in 2015 Tea Rose Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Kimberley Star, Ottoman and Flamboyant Lass; currently sharing the second line at $5.50 quotes.
Will Perignon break-through for a maiden black-type win in the 2015 Tea Rose Stakes or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?
Kimberley Star ($5.50)
Finishing outside the first three only once in nine career starts so far, Kimberley Star will need some luck in running from barrier 10 in the 2015 Tea Rose Stakes but should relish a second-consecutive start at 1400m. Winning three starts in a row through July and August, the Star Witness filly ran a close second in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) on August 22nd before placing third in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) last time.
One of several talented three-year-old currently in work for Godolphin, Ottoman returned this time for third in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) a fortnight ago and will have taken plenty of benefit from the run. Winning a talent-rich Rosehill Gardens minors over 1100m on debut in December, the daughter of Exceed And Excel returned this year for fourth in the Group 2 Silver Slipper (1200m) before finishing a close second in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) on March 7th. Returning to the paddock after taking out the Group 3 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m), Ottoman is a great chance of a first three finish on Saturday.
Look To The Stars ($51)
Look To The Stars was unable to match the late pace in the Furious Stakes first-up but will relish the 1400m of the Tea Rose Stakes and is offered a huge overs of $51 for success or $12.20 for a first three finish on Saturday. A standout through the Brisbane Winter Carnival, the daughter of I Am Invincible placed fourth in the Group 3 Ken Russell Memorial (1200m) on April 25th; progressing to success in the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) before running third in the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m).
