Kimberley Star is yet to draw much interest in 2015 Tea Rose Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au, but remains outright $4.80 favourite for success despite drift from an opening quote of $4.60.

Finishing outside the first three only once in nine career starts to date, Kimberley Star needed a couple of runs to find form upon resuming this time, but responded well in winning her next three starts.

Having since run second in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) and third in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m), the Star Witness filly will need some luck in transit from barrier 10 in the Tea Rose Stakes but should receive a gem of a ride from leading hoop Blake Shinn.

Ottoman and Perignon have each returned to racing in competitive condition this time and share the second line of 2015 Tea Rose Stakes betting at $5.50 quotes each.

One of several talented three-year-olds currently in work for John O’Shea and Godolphin Australia, Ottoman stamped her claims as a filly to follow through autumn; running fourth in the Group 2 Silver Slipper (1100m) and second in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m).

While unable to match the late pace when ninth in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m), the Exceed And Excel filly returned to the paddock after taking out the Group 3 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m) on April 11th.

Having placed third in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) first-up a fortnight ago, Ottoman will have taken plenty of benefit from the run and will leave from the central barrier 7 with James McDonald aboard on Saturday.

Perignon opened at 2015 Tea Rose Stakes odds of $6 for success, but continues to experience huge support from punters and rates as clear market mover at her current quote as a result.

Posting several good result for Gerald Ryan through her debut preparation, including a close second in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) on March 14th, the daughter of Snitzel returned this time for second in the Furious Stakes and appears primed for a return to the winner’s circle.
