The Sydney Spring Racing Carnival will continue to hot up, as the action-packed Tea Rose Day gets closer to the jump.
Headlined by the $150,000 Group Two Tea Rose Stakes (1500m), the Tea Rose Day will take to Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on September 18.
Open to three-year-old fillies to compete at set weights, the 2010 Tea Rose Stakes is set to be a popular market when the early odds are released.
Parables, trained by Peter Snowden, could certainly deliver in the 2010 Tea Rose Stakes. The Lonhro filly dominated in the Group Three Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) over the weekend, defeating a field of fillies likely to jump in the 2010 Tea Rose Stakes.
The three-year-old overcame the outsider odds at Ladbrokes.com.au, and the wide barrier draw, to claim honours at the Warwick Farm Racecourse.
Snowden is set on sending Parables through the rest of the Princess Series, which includes the Group Two Furious Stakes (1400m) on September 4 as a lead up into the 2010 Tea Rose Stakes.
Many fillies running in the 2010 Furious Stakes will back up the event with a jump in the Tea Rose Stakes – so keep an eye on the favourites at Ladbrokes.com.au.
